My wife recieved a bunch of flowers today, and I couldnt resist the sunflower

Unusual crop, lovely abstract.
I like the way the rich crisp colours of the blue turn to purple as the centre unfurls against the gorgeous softness of the yellow petals.

Its quite pretty with the blues and yellows, although it might be worth trying a smaller aperture next time to get more of it in focus.

I keep playing with the macro lens but its DOF is measured in tenth's of a millimetre!

Nice absrtract(ish) image - colours are great - might have cropped a little of the yellow away on the right to place the edge of the central portion (stamens?) close to a third?

Cracking shot! I would too have probably lost a bit of the yellow on the right, but that is just a minor niggle! I would be well pleased with this!
