Yes
thinking about heading down there Sunday AM for the sunrise, fingers crossed for it to happen.

there's always one lol, thanks Dave. Didn't go in the end, weather forecast was for mist so thought I'd give it a mist(see what I did there!)

The mist would have made me more inclined to go tbh, I really like those sort of conditions for taking photos.

I wish I was able to but was finishing off nights so would be late at this time of year
Here is shot from sunday morning on Honister pass https://flic.kr/p/26P1wVo

Would love to be up on the fells for a cloud inversion, nearest I came in almost 30 years was last November in Keswick, I left our accomodation in the town at 6.30am to walk over to Braithwaite and up Grizedale Pike in fog. By the time I had hit the ridge up to the the summit the Sun was burning all the mist away, gutted.

I was above an inversion over Ullswater Sunday morning too, incredible conditions.

You should have went to Blea Tarn when you were going to too, it was like a mirror, with some nice light hitting the Langdales. I wasn't there but a mate was.

thanks Martin, I really ought to have done. I just thought its a fair treck (104 miles each way) and I'm there next week anyway for the week so will go then. we (my pal & I) went over to the Borders instead to Hermitage Castle, & Scots View point.
