My dog Tyler taken on Filey Brigg north Yorks last week

Hi - nice shot you have there with some lovely sunset colours, and the dog looks pretty much in focus which is good. A couple of things which would help:

1) The horizon needs a tweak to the right to get it level.
2) Shadows in the foreground and the dog could do with lifting to make them stand out a little more.

Hi Jonathan, are you using a tripod ? this will help when using a slow shutter speeds

heres a slight edit to your original image ( lovely dog by the way)

I'm trying to enlarge a lot of these photos so I'm trying to reduce the noise etc

I think you need to pull back on the saturation a little.
The second image is almost nuclear, hence the bright blue sea.
That IS a cute dog though
