Oooh that's a great shot, really well composed and executed!

Lovely shot Alex with colours that are warm and cold.

Love that light on the mountain and the witches hat roof. (y)

I know this is a wee bit late :D but congrats on winning the 2009 DPoTY too, very much deserved imo as I`ve always really liked your work.

Kinda cool to see your pic in the 100th edition of DP, read your story etc. Gone pro now too, nice one.

Cheers.

:)

Gorgeous...!

Fantastic shot of a bloody horrible place.

If I never see Jacobs Ladder again it will be too soon! :D

Great shot and composition.

Last time I was up Pen-y-fan I couldn't see ten feet in front of me due to the fog!!

Excellent shot, seen so many of Pen y fan but none from this angle before.

Wow Great feedback....Thanks everyone.(y)

Thank you very much though:)...it was a great honor.

stunning- surreal and mesmerising- excellent capture.
Mind if I ask what PP was done?

Cheers. Just local control point adjustments using viveza.

Awesome shot!!!

Fantastic shot, the light is really good and well captured.

def a feel good pic.

Cheers

fantastic shoot but my eye keeps being drawn to the horizon being at 50 %.

Thanks for the comment.(y)

I assume you mean the ridge line running center of the picture.
Unfortunetly This shot couldnt have been done any differently. Ive used the building to break the horizon line which negates the need for a horizon in the botom third.Pulling back a bit to lower the ridge line meant losing the light on the hills as a feature and also would have forced some wooden handrails just in front of me to appear in the shot.

For me the eye journey around the picture works and im glad that you end up on the ridge line....that was the purpose...of the forced rule break.

I love that!!

Thanks Richard

Awesome shot!!!

Raj
