I've got the torch you linked to and its plenty powerful for seeing in even the darkest of places.

These are excellent. They use 1 AA rechargeable battery, you can always carry a spare battery with you. Small enough to fit in a pocket.

this will be more than enough for walking, personally too much. I have a Branded variation of this but fit a red filter to it, gives enough light to prevent you tripping over something or walking into a tree but not enough that it throws the edge of the beam into pitch black shadow. Often catch wildlife out that a white light would spook before you saw it
