Super Light Tripod

Hi

Just got back from Rome this week and a few street sellers were selling cheap tripods. One had a full size one but the legs were light weight - they were like the old radio aerials that you pulled and they extended.

Can you get them over here (eBay)

I know they are no brilliant. A mate is giving me his pro tripod to try but was wondering whether to get one of these too for light weight stuff

I used one and they are just to flimsy any wind or even a light breeze and you get camera shake.

Don't waste your money on cheap, lightweight tripods. They are too unstable for any outdoor work and you stand to lose more than good shots if it falls over with your camera and best glass on.

I had a Velbon VTP815 which had telescopic legs, it was next to useless. Was impossible to adjust the height and it would flop around even with a very light lens, and that was with no wind! Definitely avoid.
