The winter fowl season is closing in and I'm getting excited about getting some more stuff. This is one of my favourites from last season. A pochard just surfacing, taken at WWT Welney



EOS-1Ds MkII, EF 500 f/4L IS, beanbag, lying on pallet on edge of river...

I've tried to get "that type of shot" that a few times now
and know how difficult it is ( Total failure on my part BTW)

Experimenting is the only way to progress! Pictures of ducks on water are fine... but they're not going to win any awards! Something different is always much more welcome! :)
