Has anyone seen any swallows yet? saw ours for the first time yesterday makes it feel like summer is on its way

Not seen any myself but last Friday a guy at a hide at Rutland Water said he had just spotted his first of the year.

Yes, spotted 6/8 of them near Hereford rowing club steps, feeding on a cloud of mayflies ( well I think they were) that hatched during the warm weather last week.

They didn't appear to be nest building just feeding, watched them for about 20 mins.

Not seen any yet here in Norfolk... I love these birds and I can't wait for their arrival!

Probably another 2-3 weeks before we get ours up here. Still did get Sand martin yesterday and had Chiffchaff singing on Saturday. Ah, spring is in the air! :)

Had some buzzing me and the gf when we went for a walk last Friday night :)

Ours arrived on 24th March and have already hatched their first brood in the barn.....that's about 10 days earlier than last year.

Bob

If Bob's have already arrived, then I am guessing our's have as well. Not been at home for a few months, back on Thursday. Always love seeing them return every year.

Quite a few at Canal Pool KWP a week last saturday, but then none untill today when I saw one pass over.

Yep saw my first yesterday evening, as it was flying straight for my windscreen! No one was hurt :)
