Hi jewel - lovely shot, excellent colour and well framed. I know they are done to death but you can't beat a good shot of a swan.

ps I see some marks in the top right quadrant, thought it was my monitor at first, doesn't look like sensor dust so maybe a smear on the lens.

Nice shot, I like the way you can see the water droplets on the swan's head and neck and you've exposed it well.

Rippleless water? Perhaps cos he was just sitting there. Ripples would imply movement.
