Hiya All,

One of my favourite photo of the day to day. Try to get my head around M mode anyone get tip to help and CC welcome.

Looks like your camera was focusing towards the back of the swan rather than up at it's head, crop is a little tight too

Thanks gilbouk yes I thought the focus was to the back. Think I need to learn which focus are best to use.

Go for single point focus and make sure the focus spot is over the head of the bird .

Use either aperture or shutter speed priority with the lowest iso you can get away with. No need to use the m mode unless you need to manipulate the camera.
