Two from today at a new location. I was reliabily informed by several locals that there are kingfishers along this particular stretch of river. I visited today, and although I did see a kingfisher (same one twice I believe) I didnt get any shots. I did get some swan action shots though:

D300 and 400 2.8 with 1.7x TC. No crop.

Like both of these Joe. The composition of the first one is great but I love the open beak on the second. Only other thing would be the slightly blown whites on the chest in the first shot. I'm guessing the light was a tad harsh today.

Couple of nice action shots, I think I prefer #1, though #2 would have been the winner if you hadn't just clipped it on thr right hand side, which is a shame, therefore I think #1 has more impact.
 
Captured the action well Joe, agree with fabs about the small patch of blown white in the first.
 
Great images (y) - for big birds they do thash about and shift in the water when they want.
