Ok my take on it.
I use a D7100 having moved up from a D300, I shoot mostly wildlife and rarely shoot RAW.
I find it a superb camera in low light, fast focusing and as I very rarely do shoot the fast multi frame mode
it's not a problem.
Coupled it with and 80/400 nikon lens last year when I got sick of the sigma 150/500 breaking down and
all I can say is WOW.
But in your situation, if you can get hands on with the newer Sony bodythen I would agree, stick with Sony
