swarm of bees

went out for a walk this evening and whilst passing our hedge i thought look at all those bees

got a local beekeeper to pick them up he thought there was 5000 or more !!!

oh that has given my the shivers, I hate wasps/bees I would not have been brave enough to stop and take a photo .

Brings back horrible memories from when I was 10, there was a nest like that in a hedge and I stepped in it (accidently)... ow!

We once had a swarm on camp - arrived Friday evening with us, despersed on Sunday as we left - impressive sight and although they were only about 8 feet of the ground they never bothered us - too buzzy hanging on to each other ... the bees that is.
