Switch from Sigma?

So now you're looking for a big jump in image quality, whereas before it sounded more like you wanted a generally higher spec all round camera, with improvements in IQ and a step 'into the mainstream'.

Very fair point. I wasn't actually looking for a big jump in IQ but as the SD10 is a seven-year-old camera, I thought I'd see a noticeable improvement from a newish model.

Everything you say makes total sense and I think I'd better have a look at full-frame. Thank you very much for the input.

When printed out at A4 I couldn't see any real IQ difference.

<5MP is all you need for A4. You should be printing A3, or perhaps A2 to see the real difference.

If you want max IQ, you should be looking at 5D, even mk1 would do.

Yes - no. I thought you wanted a step up in quality and something more mainstream? Not an esoteric step back in history

Bite the bullet ;)

Bullet bit. Your comments made me take a serious look at full frame and once I'd spent some time looking at FF images, I had to give it a go. Nice 5D purchased. Now for a lens :D

LOL! Sorry about that :D

I hope that's a tasty bullet you've gone and bitten. Mine is delicious, and with a long after taste ;)

Enjoy!
