Synchronise settings between cameras

Is there any device which synchronises the settings across multiple cameras? (e.g. shooting a wedding with two cameras, adjusting iso on both cameras when you change it on one?)

It seems like a really obvious thing that should be technically possible but I can't find any discussion of it at all.

I'm not aware of any software that does it or any cameras that allow synchroniation from 1 body to another...

I don't shoot weddings, but would you want the settings to be exactly the same though ? I presume if you're shooting with 2 bodies, you'd have different lenses on them and different needs from them - so would you not want / need different settings on them ?

Not sure it would work for most as genearlly you don't want the same settings, although you might want the same exposure. I guess if you are using f2.8 lenses on both then it might work but I use a mix of f1.4 glass down to f4 lenses so it wouldn't be helpful in my situation. Also, a long lens you will need faster shutter speeds so probably higher iso required even if you have f2.8 lenses on both bodies.

Can't see it being developed in honesty.

I can't see anyone making a camera that WHILE IN USE will control the settings of another camera WHILE IN USE, just think of wireless flash system where you need 16 channels so as not to interfere with other users using the same flash system, and think of the problems that would happen if a couple of dozen togs were at the same event with your setting being controlled by some other tog.


You could do it manually, but it would have to be with a EOS 7D Studio Version as that's the only camera that you can password protect to stop the user altering the settings themselves.

I was thinking that settings would be more selective. Eg synchronising iso would seem useful to me, and many situations where other settings (eg white balance) synchronising.

Wonder if it could be added into pocket wizards?!
