Has anyone experience of using a T mount with focus confirm to link a spotting scope to a Canon DSLR?
The scope is an Opticron 815, plus the Opticron converter, all I need is a T mount but there are two versions available, the basic ring that just screws in place, but there's one that has a built-in chip that is supposed to give focus confirmation.
Some research suggests that the Canon focus system will not work at apertures wider that 5.6 - that could be a problem as the scope/adapter combination has an aperture of 14+ so I guess the image in the viewfinder is going to be pretty dim.
