Tablet & DSLR

Do you use a Tablet to link with your DSLR to obtain instant images of tablet size. If sop, what tablet and link from camera to tablet doe you use. The more details you can give, the easier I will understand how many systems there are for this

If you have an Android tablet or phone you can get DSLR Controller (just google it) for about £6.00 off googleplay
You then need a USB Host -on the go cable (£2.50 from amazon), connect the camera to the tablet or phone and away you go.
Its a bit slow but I find it very good for manual focus and manual exposure with a tilt+shift lens,I have not tried AF and other exposure modes yet.
I do not think the software works with a Ipad or Iphone but there might be some that does.

ive got a galaxy tab 2 10.1 and and nexus 7 and they both worth fine with an eye fi card in the camera. Im not sure if there's much out there to remote control a nikon though.

It would help to know which Tablet and model you actually use, with which camera. I am trying to put together a list of what works with what and decide what I may go for myself.

That's helpful. I recently saw the following video that works with a number of cameras, but I want to see what is available before deciding if I want to get something myself.

I use a Galaxy S2 and a Motorola Xoom ( not the latest model) both running the latest Android software and it works on both,the display is better on the galaxy but the software runs smoother on the tablet( probably due to processing power)
I have tried it with a Canon 5DMk2 in Manual mode using manual focus but not as yet with a 7D.
If you look on the DSLR Controller web site it gives a list of Cameras and Android devices which have been tested.

HI Chris, thanks for the additional info. Most helpful, although it may be different with a tablet like the i-pad? What card do you use with the tablet and 5D Mk2 and do you get any electrical interferance and short range restrictions?.

You might have missed a bit here,the camera and tablet are physically connected using the USB host cable I referred to earlier,not the Wifi card someone else referred to.
I dont think the DSLR controller works with a Ipad.

Sorry Chris, yes I did miss that bit. I am really seeking information from those using Eye-Fi / Wi-Fi from camera to tablet, not cable connections. I have some bits of info, but would like to know more and i-pad can connect with a DSLR, it's just knowing what is the best way to do it.
