The German Air Force brought a Eurofighter EF2000T Typhoon to RIAT, beautiful cloudscape, HDR and desaturation.

Really like this... the only small crit would be to give a bit more space either side of the plane, it all feels a bit squished. but otherwise, fantastic use of HDR and great dramatic sky! And in my opinion not overcooked! (y)

that is awesome. looks fantastic in larger size. wish i could take a pic half as gd as this

Nice work Macc, Never had a go at the HDR processing but that looks good

Thanks guys, this was my first HDR so I'm looking to do more in the coming year.
It was either blown out clouds or underexposed plane and then I found a way to conquer both.

I'll make a few others and stick them up.

Chris.

The HDR is awfully distracting, I'm afraid the jet is lost in this picture...:(

I don't understand what you mean, the whole purpose of the HDR was too bring detail into the sky and keep the aircraft similarly exposed.

Can you explain what you mean, might be able to benefit me. :)

Yus, its only an opinion mind...:)

This is "Transport", I'm assuming the jet is the feature of the picture.
I think the jet is lost in its surroundings.
Its not a HDR beef, the picture is doable with HDR, I just feel there ought to be a favourable balance between the subject and its surroundings.
The jet is competing for attention with the HDR sky, and losing.
The jet should be at least as dramatic as the sky don't you think ?
Or maybe the sky needs turning down a few notches, and the jet up..:)

surely the sky and foreground are secondary

Thanks for expanding your opinion, I see where your coming from.
To me, I would like the aircraft and cloud to be the most noticeable.
I think the jet needs to be a bit brighter.

Thanks again,
Chris.

lovely shot but I agree the jet probably needs to be more exposed otherwise I think the clouds pull focus away from it as joxby said :)
