Can this be moved to the birdy area ?

Just thought I'd flag this up in case anybody was interested.

Simply visit the RSPB site to order your free RSPB Garden Birdwatch pack which will be sent by post or alternatively take part online. All that's required is 1 hour of your time (on the 28th or 29th Jan) to note which species of bird you see in your garden or local park and simplyor fill in the form which comes with the pack (unless doing online) and return via freepost.

The collated info enables a snapshot of the bird species and numbers in each region which when added to previous year's results helps paint a bigger picture of what's happening to our UK bird populations.

There's no obligation to join the RSPB.

Anyway - here's the link and if it's not for you it may be something the kids enjoy.

For those interested here's last years results by County / UK from over 600,000 participants.

A good heads up Phil (y) Well worth the small amount of effort needed imo. I think they are aware how many times I see a Robin now though  ;)

Did this last year with the Mrs, a sparrow hawk flew through the garden about ten minuets before we were going to start and never saw another bird for the next hour
Will give it another go this year.

My 3 year old is chomping at the bit so I'll be doing it with her.
