Can anyone offer any advise?

Am just getting travel insurance quotes for a trip to USA, but struggling to find anything that will cover my camera (£1k) as most seem to have a single item limit around the £200 mark.

Thanks.

Check your home content insurance, it may already cover you.

Last year I took out insurance with Aaduki to cover my camera gear and it worked out cheaper than my home insurance based on the value of the kit not just the camera body.

Mine's covered on home contents, they replaced a D700 when it got internal condensation in NZ with no questions.

Nice one... I'll check the home insurance tomorrow.

I had to specify my equipment valued at more than £2500 on my home insurance, but it did not cost me any more to do so. Check number of days out of UK and increase if needed - I get 28 days as standard.

Definitely your home insurance is the way to go. If they can't cover it, get a decent insurance policy that can!
