A friend of mine to go along to local Weddings and take shots.
My question is, is it allowed. Seeing as I'm not the official photographer?
So is it you or your friend?
So is it you or your friend?
Good question.
Or did you type the first line, and your brother type the second one ??
Non. I am just wondering whether i would be allowed to take pics. I wouldn't be a guest. Just a photographer trying. But I guess if it isn't allowed then it's plan B.
Taking pictures of models in Wedding dresses, suits etc. also of florist products and entertainment, like wedding singers.
I did a few wedding to make ends meet.
I also used to take along an Pentax MX,loader with b/w film, after my work as the official photographer was over i used to ask if i could stay on,and shoot some candid stuff just for myself, never got turn down, and also in the end i sold quite a few shots to the guests![]()
Wait a minuite - you are thinking of going along to local weddings to which you arent invited, to take photosYou cannot be serious :shake:
If you want to build up a portfolio the best bet is to second shoot with an experienced tog - though after the 'networking' thread you may struggle to get anyone on here to take you seriously - or failing that offer to do some weddings free for freinds and family.
perhaps you could get someone to read this thread to you...

wedding crashing for photography is a complete and total no-no!

You misread. My friend suggested I should do the whole wedding thing. I do Vehicle photography normally. Not weddings.
I've got the engagement photos in my portfolio.
Most brides and grooms wouldn't take on an inexperienced wedding photographer.

I beg your pardon?
