I used to take my small canon S3 IS with me sometimes when golfing with my mates and it was easy enough to stuff in my golf bag pocket.

Now with a canon 40d it's a bit more difficult to fit it in a pocket and it would be a pain to keep putting it in and out....

My trolley is this one:

and I was thinking of purchasing this accessory: (Click for more info.)

and someone modifying it...or just seeing if it would either clamp the base of my monopod or gorillapod in where the umbrella should go...

my question is:

1. Is there a better way to attach a camera to the trolley?

2. Should I be concerned about the bumping that the camera might get as golf courses are not exactly flat places and the trolley does nt have suspension. I suppose I could carry it and then just use the "attachment" as a convenient place to put it when I take a golf shot.

If you stay in the fairways, shouldn't be too bumpy at all...! :geek:

Might be worth a word with Flash In The Pan - he has a couple of possible items that might help you...

P.S. Where do you frequent...? Brickhampton must be your closest course?

Kdot, thanks for the reply and photos...I will PM Mr Flash In The Pan and see what he thinks...

as for golf I played at South Herefordshire on Sunday, Brickhampton in the week (Gloucester City Football Clubs Charity Day), before that Rodway, Cotswold Edge, Tewkesbury Park & Cotswold Hills. I get around ;)......I was lucky enough this year to play with Matt Le Tissier on a charity day and in a pro-am with Andrew Sherborne....and win our golf society summer league...quite a golfing year for me :D

Superclamps are by far the best accessory ever, I have about 6 of them and they get used for all manner of things you'll never regret buying one in my opinion
