I've had an entry level dSLR for a few years and have always enjoyed talking photos, but usually only for my own enjoyment or family photos and some of them have come out quite well. I am now looking to take the next step and start doing something serious with them, I am upgrading to what I class as a mid range camera a D90 and want to benefit from the experience of others and was thinking of a dual approach.
Firstly by doing some sort of course, I have seen various day ones etc which I suppose if good for a specific task (night/wedding/landscape etc) but I am looking for a more long term one with projects etc, either online or night school.
By second idea is to try and get in touch with local photographers to see if they want an intern or just someone to carry their equipment on shoots to try and get some exposure and experience.
