Just wondered if anyone has or has had a Tamrac Evolution 9 backpack and what your opinion of it was/is?

I have the Evolution 8 and I am very happy with it.

I have in mine the following.

D90
Nikon 10-24
Nikon 18-105
Nikon 55-200
Nikon 60mm Micro
Nikon 35mm f1.8
Jessop 360AFD Flash

In the bottom compartment, with room for another lens at the side of the D90. The side entries are very handy for getting a different lens out while not taking the bag fully off.

Side pocket I use for my spare batteries, other one has a rain cover in it. Top compartment I keep all my filters and accessories in.

Fits my 13" Macbook Pro with ease.

It's very versatile and neat to change it to sling/backpack as you wish and the spare straps fold away into the bag.

I have been very happy with mine. Although mine is a smaller size to the 9.

Thanks for that how do you find traveling with it? Is it fine for use as hand luggage with airlines?

The only place its been when traveling is the bucket seat in my car It fits nice and snug in there and the harness keeps it well in place...

Sorry, I don't really fly but I'm sure I read the 8 is about the right dimensions for hand luggage.

Might be worth having a google to see if any reviews give you some info.
