Tamron 10-24

Hi

Looking at getting a wide angle lens, was looking at the canon 10-22 but this is stretching my money just a little too far so came accross the tamron 10-24,

has anyone got any comments on this lens, compared with the canon. Preferably from some one who has owned one or both for comaprison would be good.
