Tamron 17-35 lens hood

Do you use a hood, if so what? What are the options?

Often I use my hand, but sometimes forget to do so.

Thinking a hood would be a good idea if I can find one that
works well, on DX and FX.

I use hoods with my wide angles for protecting from flare.

You can get third party ones on eBay for a few quid!

Plenty on eBay... As for size, do I need the mm size that equates to the filter size? That is, my 17-35 takes 77mm filters, so I would purchase a '77mm' petal hood?

I've just received a HB-23 clone which was supposed to fit the 17-35 but it doesn't. Can anyone recommended a specific product that will fit? Apparently, the Tokina hood fits, but its around 30 notes...
