Yes
At the moment I've only got two lenses for my DX sensor Nikon.

12-24mm 4.5/5.6
35mm 1.8

I plan to pick up a faster wide angle lens at some point for more night/star photography, but the 12-24 will do for now.

I originally sold the kit 18-55mm as I mainly used it at 35mm.

The lower end of the Tamron is covered by my WA lens, and 35mm is nice sweet spot on the 1.5 crop sensor.

Just wondering if there is anything worth while to gain from adding the Tamron 17-50 2.8?

I love my 17-50, definitely my most used lens and very very sharp. I also have a 35mm which I use in low light as I find the Tamron hunts a bit sometimes ( maybe just my experience )
