Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II (Non VC) Lens

Hi... Have been offered one of these at what I think is a decent price (£150) and the range would certainly suit my needs. Has anyone got/used one of these? Any opinions on picture quality/ease of use/possible drawbacks welcome. I plan to use it with my Nikon D601 - I know it's intende for DX users but wondered if anyone has used on on full frame cameras.

It's a great lens, but only on DX cameras. In FX mode you'll need to use it in the crop mode which will reduce your camera from 24mpx to 10.

The FX equivalent is the 28-75 f/2.8 that they do.

I use this all the time with my d90 but with the d610 not sure how good it would be as the 610 is FF.

I bought one not long ago as an upgrade from my Canon kit lens and I've been impressed with it. It's on a 550D - crop sensor, which it was designed for.
