Yes
just purchased this lens from jessops
i have been taking all manor of test shots with it and i just cant seem to get nice crisp sharp images with it
i have got a few but it is very hit and miss
my pictures taken with the canon 55-250mm seem miles sharper
have i got a duff lens or am i doing something wrong

also has anybody got any sample images theyy have taken with this lens before i back it

Post some samples maybe?............

i have printed off a test chart and tried that and i seem to be getting very inconsistent results
pretty disappointed in this lens to be honest

I recently bought the non VC version after reading too many bad reviews regarding the VC one, they weren't bad accross the board but it seemed so hit and miss whether you got a good copy.

My non VC version was bought on this forum and is tack sharp

i was expecting a lot better quality than it is producing
pretty gutted really but never mind i will get a non vc version

I bought a Nikon fit VC version and initially I was disappointed with it because it wasn't very sharp at f2.8 but at f5.6 it was pin sharp. Once I discovered how to do a fine AF tune on my D300 then I got the focus nailed on and I loved it.

However, I since needed to cash in to get some money so I sold the VC version and got the non VC version which is also pin sharp at all apertures and through the soom range.

The VC certainly works on that lens and is well worth having but if you have a duff copy then I'd recommend taking it back to Jessops and trying another one or trading it for the non VC version.
