tamron 18-200mm show me your shots please

i'm using this lens on my 500d and i'm not sure wether its me or the lens thats not producing particularly sharp images.

i know its a cheap lens so to speak, so would like to see what others are achieving if possible.

test it by sticking on a tripod, im sure it will be fine.

I'd imagine that a consumer superzoom will need stopping down to get a good level of sharpness, possibly a couple of stops to f/8. What you are getting is excellent flexibility (for travel etc) but at the expense of some sharpness.

i'll have a play with it to see what i can get.

i'd still like to see what others have achieved with it.

I use one with the Nikon D40x and generally get decent results from it. All these shots were taken on auto without the aid of a tripod.

Hope that helps. I'm by no means a good amateur by the way.
