I own one of these and like it a lot but shooting it side by side with other lenses it appears to be about 1 stop darker across the whole frame, this didn’t surprise me as I was wandering how the hell they made a 2.8 zoom this small and im sure if they advertised it as an f4 it wouldn’t pique much interest.
But one day I noticed that the aperture seemed to be closed down a touch and it got me thinking that maybe my lens is faulty somehow, looking through the front of the lens the blades are visible, almost as if it’s at f4 rather than fully wide open, so I was wondering if anyone else owns this lens can I compare it to yours and also do you find at 2.8 it’s as bright as other lenses or is it noticeably darker
