Tamron 24-70 F2.8

loking at the tamron as opposed to a Nikon 24-120.

Consensus seems to be it is good, if you get a good copy.

Any thoughts? The extra range of the 24-120 would be useful but I like having then extra stop.

If you get a good Tamron 24-70 it's stunningly sharp and a great lens and is at least as good as the much more expensive Nikon 24-70 so I can't see that IQ wise the 24-12 would match, but if you want the 120mm there obviously isn't any comparison!
