tamron 28-75 - just ordered - your view

Anyone have combination of D7000 (or another crop) with above lens ? your views please - sharpness , sweet spots etc. I was thinking of a sigma 24-70 but decided the tamron was maybe better value for a cheaper option than going Nikon versions.

I have one on the D300 - cracking lens for the money. I find mine to be good at 2.8 but tack sharp when slightly stopped down. Have a look at my flickr as there is a 28-75 folder on there.

Just to finish this post - ordered monday - arrived tuesday from microglobe - had 4 mails from them giving me a great confidence in the purchase - confirmation, processing, shipping, track number - great service: lens arrived and well packed (very well packed) . Superb lens well made with metal connector to the camera and smooth action throughout. No VR but with my newly acquired batt pack - very stable . Great purchase !
