Hi all, just after a bit of advice.
Recently picked up a Tamron 55-200mm F4-5.6 Di II Macro AF lens for a really good price.....probably too good to be true.
The lens just won't lock on autofocus. It just hunts for a few seconds, whirs and wheezes a bit then gives up.
It works on manual focus and is sharp as a dart so it'd be a real shame to have to return it.
Not sure if it's related but when the barrel extends it doesn't seem to retract fully...seems to be maybe half an inch left protruding.
Anyone have any ideas how to rectify the problem or is it goosed?
