Currently using a Tamron 70-300 lens that has macro too (cost about £170 from Jessops)

Not used it a lot and wonder if a better lens is worth investing in (not going silly spending) like a Canon 70-300 usm or a Sigma 70-300 that has OS.

I get shots like this that are improved in lightRoom ;)

I used servo assist and multi shot mode. TBH a lot were blurred to be expected but using multi shot I hoped to get at least one ok ;)

The lens isn't Image Stabilized.. would that help much?

I'm using a canon 500D camera.

Would benifit from getting a bit better lens?

tnx :)

I bought the Canon version (70-300IS) and was very happy with it, did what I was after, I've currently got it up for sale in the classifieds as it's not getting used now and I'm after an upgrade - I wouldn't be selling on of I could afford to keep it and buy the upgrade I'm after...
