Hi all

my preferred targets to shoot are motorsports. i currently use a Samsung GX10 with a tamron 70-300 but have been thinking about upgrading the lens to something a little better. i would change camera, but my view is that i will get more return from a new lens instead of a new camera

my only problem is i havnt got a clue what is good and what is not, so i would greatly appreciate some help

Budget wise, probably about 300 if possible. if thats too cheap, then i will have to speak to the bank manager :)

Thanks in advance

Personally for the money you have I would be looking at the Pentax DA 55-300mm .. its quite a step up from the Tamron/Sigma 70-300mm although you will lose the "macro" capability.

Although I have a few lenses that are very capable I ordered one a few days ago as it gets such good reviews on the Pentax forums.

You will not do much better without spending £600+.
