Has anyone got or tried one of these yet, seems to be what i'm looking for at a decent enough price, but would like some opinions please especialy from owners

There's a group review of 70-300mm lenses in the latest Digital Photo. Nikon's comes out on top but the Tamron is a close second. Poor Canon does very badly, its offering is very definately in third place.

£369 on the Jessops website, and you can pay in 6 monthly instalments after an initial deposit. Also £369 at Warehouse Express.
 
Thanks for the replies and prices, but due to my families generosity I am now getting a Canon 400mm f/5.6 for Christmas (includes my very near xmas birthday too)

The Tamron does look decent for the money, but the Canon will be spot on for what I want from it
 
Ok, good luck with it. I'm going to try and have a look at a Tamron when I go past my local Jessops tomorrow, but tbh I'll be surprised if they have it in store.
