Tamron lens to Canon EOS body

Hello,

I just got Canon EOS x3 for my first DSLR and my father had old Tamron Aspherical 28mm-200mm lens.
I was wondering if I could use that Tamron lens to my EOS body with some kind of adapter.
And if it is possible what kind of adapter should I buy?
I really appreciate your help in advance.

Any idea what mount the lens has? If it's a Tamron Adaptall lens, then yes no probs. If it's a Canon Eos lens, then again no probs. If it's a Nikon or Olympus OM lens, you can use an adapter.

umm... where do i look for?
it was on Pentax SF10 body.

You will need to post a picture of it I'm afraid, there's been a few versions...auto focus versions, manual focus versions etc.

You can adapt old Pentax K lenses for Canon DSLRs, but whatever happens, you will have to focus manually and set the aperture manually. For a newbie, it's probably not a good idea and you'd be better off looking for a Canon lens

Yep, you can use it but you will need to focus manually and set the aperture manually using the numbered ring close to the camera's body. You can find an adapter here:
