tamron lens

tamron sp 24-70mm f/2.8 di vc
do anyone own one of these ??
just about to splash cash on a new nikon lens when i started reading about this one , looking for some feedback good or bad . it seems to get a really good review and it has v.c

I was seriously considering it, as my old Tamron 17-50 was my favourite DX lens. But had the extra bit to get the Nikon. VC would be handy for low light, indoors, for still subjects at least. It could be handy for portraits, if your subject isn't a hyper 5 yr old. Dom Bower just bought one, and has his first thoughts on it up:
