Anyone know what the difference is between new model and one a couple of years old

have found one second hand listed as "Used Tamron 90mm F2.8 Di (272EE)" anyone know what the 272EE stands for :shrug:

I know the newer model had a focus motor in nikon mount to AF on no-motor nikon bodies, but not sure what the difference is in the canon mount one.

The 272 code is the model number, and is the current model.
