Hey everyone,
I need a cheap FF zoom in the stated range to use temporarily for a few months while I decide if I'm going to save & spring for the Canon version. I hear both good and bad things about both lenses. Sharpness isn't a huge problem for me because the gig images I take are used on the web for reviews and usually displayed no bigger than 1024x768. The most important thing for me is for the AF to be as good as possible. I've owned a Tamron before and wasn't happy with the AF, but that doesn't mean I'd discount them and not give them a second chance.
Does anyone have experience of both lenses or at least Tokina in general who could offer advice?
