Tamron SP 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 Di II for Nikon AF-S

I was looking to purchase the Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8 G DX Lens as an alternative to the 15-55 kit lens on the D3100.

I then saw the Tamron as I wanted something for landscapes and thought that it may be better to stick with the kit lens and pay the extra money on the Tamron so I have different range lenses.

Has anyone got this lens and what do they think of it?

i have one but not been delivered yet will have it tomorrow or Wednesday, i was looking at all the 10-24 lenses and went for the Tamron simply because i was offered it at a price to good to say no too, however judging by what ive read there as good as all the others in the same league (Sigma Tokina) also the Tamron has a slightly lower f number which is a bonus.

i bought mine for interior shots of kitchens and bathrooms for my work, i have herd some people say that using ultra wide angles for landscapes can result in distant objects looking very small..

have a search on flickr for images taken with the Tamron, plenty on there..
