Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f2.8 XR Di Lens

Does anyone have experiance with this lens ?
I have read a couple of reviews and they seem to say that it's on par with the Canon 24-70 2.8L for a fraction of the price . It just seems quite apealing as a reasonably priced mid range fast lens . Just really wanted peoples thoughts .

i had it as my main lens on my sony a300

quality lens but focus is quite loads and not the quickest I thought

I have one and I'm more than happy with it. It certainly seems sharp enough and the AF is fine for my needs. The build quality definately won't compare to the 24-70 but certainly isn't poor just not as substantial.

It really comes down to budget, personally if I had the funds I would go for Canon but I don't think you'd be disappointed with the Tammy.

Thanks for the replies I didn't think the build would match , does anyone have any shots taken with one ? It seems that for the price and the odd times that I'd really use it , it would be fine .

The 28-75mm is great. the only issue is it does feel cheap compared to the canon. Once you are oer this psychological issue the results for the money are terrific. However neither stand up to the Nikon 24-70mm!

Lol , I may have to find somewhere with one in stock and go and have a little bit of a play .
