Tamron warrenty

I recently bought a Tamron 10-24mm and did immediately notice the softness in the corners. It hasn't bothered me too much though. However, I may not be using it for a while and was thinking if it is worth sending it off to see if it can be corrected. Also, it sometimes fails to auto focus. My friend also managed to drop it (with caps on) from about 1 foot and as such it has a small mark on the plastic :bang:. Still works the same as before though, will this affect warrenty?
