Have seen one around a few times lately...any tips on how I can attract/keep it around...going to put up an owl box in the garden for starters...
and the site receives a small commission

I suppose you'd have to take steps to ensure a good supply of their prey food around and I wouldnt have thought that possible! Bank voles, mice etc.
Owl box might help though, but if they're in the area they must find it to their liking diet wise.

Agree with DD there is not much you can do. A box might help but it won't work if the food supply and habitat are not right.
Do you hear males and females calling? If you have a pair, rather than just a single bird, in the area it may suggest the conditions are good.
