Tees Barrage photography

Hi all

I was at the Tees Barrage on Saturday for the white water kayaking! with not much happening I went for a bit of a walkabout camera in hand :shrug:

I was approached three times by people asking questions such as "Are you photographing someone you know?" , Are you photographing a competition" etc... and wondered why people were so interested Then I came across this notice stuck to a few light posts, display boards etc...

No, I didn't register with them as I didn't have any ID and I was leaving anyway! but I didn't like the way the notice asks the public to phone them and the suggestion of the child protection bit....Little brother, scare-mongering and OTT interpretation of the law...

seen the signs myself , been down there loads of times and never been approached by anyone , and will keep on going down there as well without registering , just to see what happens if i do get pulled up
