Tele converter for a Nikon 80-200 F2.8 ED 2 touch

I have just brought a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 ED 2 touch lens and am now looking for a suitable 1.4 TC to retain AF.
I know a TC is more suited to a prime but needs must for now and just want to know if a Nikon II will work or should i go for the trusty Kenko?

A Nikon TC won't even fit. You need to use a Kenko.

I'm sure I've answered variations on this about 20 times, I might write a Nikon TC "FAQ" if I can be bothered
