Tele converter question

Quick question folks as I've never used one before , i have use of a nikon 2x tele I know it will work on a nikkor 70-200 . Will it also work on my sigma AF lenses ?

Hi Fred...the Nikon TC will certainly work on the 70-200 but you will loose 2x stops....not sure about it working with the siggys though..

Thanks yeah i got a few sigma af lenses I just don't want to try it and find out it breaks the af and ruins my lens , I know I will lose 2 stops but that's not such a big deal as most of my lenses are 2 .8 or faster

You might be able to use the combo if you do the mod that allows the TC to work with older Nikon glass.

A quick Google says the Sigma lenses work with the tc after the mod, but that would be at your own risk.....

Ahhh ok , I wont bother then don't want to risk messing up any of my lenses I'll just use it on my newer afs nikons

Ok not worth screwing up my lenses for , just wondered if it was an option , thanks
