Looking at getting Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Telephoto Zoom Lens. Is a mk1/2/3 all compatible? Are there any differences ?
Thanks in advance for your helpful comments!

The 70-200mm f4 is compatible with all the canon TC, however only the 1.4x TC will autofocus on your lens. You lose 1 f-stop of light with the 1.4x TC making your lens a 98-280mm f5.6, 2x TC = 2 f-stops of light so 140-400mm f8 (manual focus).
Personally would stick to the 1.4x TC and perhaps the MKII versions or MKIII depending on budget. The 70-200mm f4 and 1.4x TC was my 1st lens combo before I moved to prime lenses. You shouldn't see a great deal of change, autofocus does slow and hunting becomes a problem if you lose focus on the subject, but no visible loss in IQs. If you wanted 400mm with a 70-200mm, personally I would advice buying another longer zoom lens or upgrading to the 70-200mm f2.8 IS MKII which by all accounts works well with the MKIII TCs.
