Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade my siggy 70-200 to a nikon 70-200 vr, predominantly for the vr in low light. However I also have a siggy ex dg 2x tc that I was planning on keeping for use with the new nikon.

But I'm finding conflicting information online, some sites are saying that the sigma tc won't work with nikon lenses whilst others say it will.

Has anyone tried this combo? Or can anyone give me some advice? If it won't work I may as well sell the tc and save up for a nikon tc.

Absolutely correct.

The siggy t.c's will only work with siggy glass. If you need a t.c for a Nikon 70-200 you will have to go Nikon or Kenko.
 
I can throw some light, I've tried the nikon 70-200 vr2 with both of my sigma convertors, works fine with the 1.4, no issues. With the 2x converter the nikon wouldn't autofocus at all. Why I've no idea but it wont? Hope this helps
